Big Maths at IMET 2018

Big Maths visited the Inspiring, Motivating and Educating through Technology (IMET) exhibition in Cumbria earlier this week, organised by Dalton St Mary’s Primary School.

Spread across two days at two different venues, EdTech companies came together to encourage teachers across Cumbria to inspire the next generation with the latest gadgets and software.

Big Maths has been online since 2015, with teachers being able to access the Big Maths Progress Drives, learning Steps, teacher notes and resources at the click of a button. More schools than ever now enjoy accessing Big Maths online, saving each teacher up to five hours per week.

In 2017, thousands of children have also logged into Big Maths to complete their weekly Big Maths Beat That! Challenges. Over 25,000 challenges have been completed online on a Friday, saving teachers even more time.

The IMET exhibition visited Barrow in Furness on Tuesday, home to our Big Maths Partner School, Sir John Barrow. Schools already subscribed to Big Maths gave feedback about the ease of use and how Big Maths further develops all staff, including teaching assistants.

The exhibition moved to Penrith on Wednesday, where Dalton St Mary’s Primary School spent time talking teachers through how they use Big Maths and how it has saved time and improved results in school.

Big Maths can be used to compliment, strengthen or replace any existing scheme of work. If you were unable to attend IMET 2018, more information about Big Maths can be found at www.BigMaths.com
