For creating a useful and aesthetic classroom display, the V.C.O.P. Posters are an ideal tool to give pupils the ideas necessary to up-level their work.
The posters come in a set of 4 consisting of: The Punctuation Pyramid; Ambitious Vocabulary; Sentence Openers; and Connectives.
The posters can be displayed on the classroom wall and could be used as a focus for up-levelling or as a reminder before any writing session. After each session children can compare their work with the posters to ensure they are achieving an appropriate level.
The examples given show the degree of challenge that children from that attainment level should be able to meet. These levels are vital to the Big Writing method and for raising standards in writing.
